An owner deposits an ERC-4907 artifact, fixes an immutable exhibition season and consecutive custody slots, and accepts that the work cannot be withdrawn until the season ends.
01Opening slotleading lock
For each slot, bidders escrow NITE. The largest lock wins, stays locked through expiry, and directs the vault to set the winner as the artifact’s ERC-4907 user; displaced and losing locks become credits the desk pays even if that address is dimmed.

03Mid-seasonsealed
Trading venues can source NITE, but only a winning vault lock can cause setUser; because the vault holds the artifact for an irrevocable season, another rental system cannot simultaneously control it.

The artifact never leaves custody. There are no fees, royalties, or oracle rulings. A separate immutable protection keeper can dim a non-launch address, individually or in bulk, and reject that address’s ordinary transfers and sells until release. Transfers from or to ArtifactEscrowDesk are exempt, so displaced and expired lock recovery still pays while the bidder remains dimmed. There is no automatic expiry on a dim.
NITE is an immutable fixed-supply ERC-20 paired with WETH for the selected V3 venue. Supply is 73,418,927. There is no mint, burn, tax, trading flag, caps, presale, vesting, or airdrop. NightMuseumFactory is deployed first and factory-creates all five rollout modules. NiteToken is constructed only after those modules exist; it is not itself one of them. NiteToken then mints the complete supply to NiteDistributor. The distributor holds that amount once and transfers it to the immutable launch-wallet recipient.
One-sided opening
The named market is NITE/WETH. The opening deposit is token-only: exactly 0 paired quote. External LaunchOps acts through the launch wallet and uses NFPM to mint a one-sided concentrated position directly to that wallet. Only that wallet decreases liquidity, collects, and burns. The token never holds or exposes the tokenId.
Separation
The rollout separates token behavior, custody, season rules, and lock-credit accounting. External LaunchOps and launch-wallet LP custody stay outside the token and vault. The bound mechanism artifact is ArtifactEscrowDesk. A separate-wallet, deploy-only protection keeper can dim or release non-launch ordinary transfer sources. Transfers involving ArtifactEscrowDesk are exempt, so desk credit recovery is not blocked. The vault ranks locks and calls setUser without an oracle.
Protection keeper
The immutable protection keeper can arbitrarily dim a bidder, individually or in bulk, and reject that address’s ordinary non-launch transfers and sells until release. There is no automatic expiry. The launch wallet is not subject to that block. Every transfer from or to ArtifactEscrowDesk skips the protection check, so displaced and expired lock recovery succeeds while the bidder remains dimmed.
Night Museum
Nocturne turns NFT use into a public, reversible contest for time. An owner deposits an ERC-4907 artifact, fixes an immutable exhibition season and consecutive custody slots, and accepts that the work cannot be withdrawn until the season ends. For each slot, bidders escrow NITE. The largest lock wins, stays locked through expiry, and directs the vault to set the winner as the artifact’s ERC-4907 user; displaced and losing locks become immediately withdrawable. The artifact never leaves custody. There are no fees, royalties, or oracle rulings. Desk credit recovery does not wait on keeper release; ordinary dimmed transfers still do.
The founding artist deposits a desirable ERC-4907 work before the first auction, giving early participants a concrete scarce use right to evaluate rather than a promise of future adoption. Collectors, games, galleries, and identity projects may acquire NITE when they want authentic on-chain user status, while passive holders preserve the same future bidding franchise. There is no bid floor beyond exceeding the current lock, so discovery can begin with small purchases from shallow launch liquidity. Trading venues can source NITE, but only a winning vault lock can cause setUser; because the vault holds the artifact for an irrevocable season, another rental system cannot simultaneously control it.
